I would take my hat off for a description saying Roma was cynical, mercenary and deserving a victory on points. But outclassed? Surely you have to be either blind or a Roma supporter to call a catenaccio outclassing. Outclass is Ronaldinho, Robinho, Ronaldo, Adriano... outclass is Del Piero, Ibrahimovic, Trezeguet... outclass is never ever Mexes, Chivu, and whoever else is in the back line kicking the ball up front to the only player meriting the description of classy on the Roma side (not coincidentally a Brasilian).

Well done anway. Pity no three points were at stake. Pity there is a return leg and most of all pity for that teenager who sparked so much of promise and left the pitch dejected for an early bath.

Roma played 30 minutes of excellent, fast, one-touch football in the second half. Capello's face said it all after the third goal. And I loved seeing his dejected brooding mug.

But Juve are Juve. Even when they're losing miserably, they can get something out of a game. Mentally they are probably the best team in the world.

Incidentally, you have to be a Juve fan to come out chanting "la Juve e pulita" after the EPO judgement. Yes, and they were using those drugs on their pet zebras...hallina Zammit.
